Residents, Families and Partners:
As some of you may know, there is a new surge of COVID cases in the country and in our state.
I am writing to let you know that we have recently learned that an individual contracted to provide services to residents within our community has tested positive for COVID. We do know that individual was in our dining room this week prior to this diagnosis.
This individual and the residents the contractor served are currently isolating and will not be permitted into common areas in the Community until a return date can be determined following local health department and CDC guidance.
To date, we have no residents or staff members that have tested positive for the virus. If this holds, we will continue to keep our common areas, including the dining room, open.
However, given the continuing threat of the virus to our vulnerable residents, we ask that our residents, when outside of their residence, continue to:
- Wear masks (except when eating);
- Engage in frequent hand hygiene; and
- Practice good social distancing.
We will keep you updated if we have to make any further changes in our Community related to COVID based on further positive cases in our Community or the surrounding county.
As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns.
